Idle Guy Life ("the game", "we") is a single-player idle game. This policy explains what information the game collects, why, and how it is protected.

1. What we collect

  • Player name — the nickname you type when you first open the game.
  • Generated player ID — a random code such as IG-4KD9QX that we create for you so your progress can be saved. You never create a password.
  • Game progress — money, level, jobs, businesses, properties, crypto holdings, relationships and settings.
  • Anonymous sign-in credentials — an internal machine-generated login used only to reconnect your device to your saved progress.

We do not ask for your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location or payment details. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

2. How we use it

  • To show your name inside the game.
  • To save and restore your progress so you keep playing where you stopped.
  • To sign you back in automatically on the same device.
  • To keep the game working correctly and fix technical problems.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

3. Where it is stored

Your player name, ID and progress are stored on our secure managed cloud database provider, and a copy of your player ID is stored locally on your device so the game can sign you in automatically. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and is encrypted at rest by our hosting provider.

4. How it is protected

  • All traffic uses TLS/HTTPS encryption.
  • Database row-level security rules mean a player account can only be read and written by that player's own session.
  • Access to the production database is restricted to the developer.

5. Sharing

We share data only with the infrastructure providers that host the game and its database, and only as needed to run the service, or where required by law.

6. Retention

Your account and progress are kept for as long as your account exists. If you request deletion we remove your account data within 30 days.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time from the Delete account & data page. Clearing the game from your device also removes the local copy of your player ID.

8. Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
